Tom is a real estate professional with over 10 years experience in Commercial Real Estate. Formerly a Vice President at Chicago Title and Fidelity National Financial, Tom has worked with building properties throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Ireland and South America. More recently, Tom has been involved with the Central Florida Real Estate Market with assembling development plans for the accelerated growth of the region.
Tom has an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Missouri and an advanced degree in Operations Research from UMKC. After graduation, Tom taught classes in Medical Systems at the University of Missouri, School of Medicine and Graduate Level Advanced Statistical Modeling Classes at the Katz School of Business at UMKC.
Tom is also a Certified Instructor with the State of California Community College System and taught Business and Engineering classes at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. Tom’s focus was Corporate Studies and he taught on the Apple Computer and Amdahl Corporation campuses.
Early in his career, Tom managed facilities operations at companies in Missouri, Colorado and the Silicon Valley. With these positions, Tom built and opened up facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and Ireland. Tom also deployed a Multiple Linear Regression Analysis models for operations simulations and wrote award winning books on the subject.
Tom transitioned later in his career into Computer, Video and Telecommunications design working throughout California and Oregon. Tom has four patents in Video and Telecommunications technologies and his teams have won 2 Technical Emmy awards, the Supercomm Technology of the Year Award, and several Broadcast Magazine Product and Technology of the Year Awards. In addition, Tom managed a video production studio in San Diego, and a video services company in Hollywood California working directly with the Directors Guild of Hollywood.
Prior to moving to Central Florida, Tom built the first point based inventory system for Resort Real Estate Sales and became the VP of Marketing and Sales for Chicago Title and FNF with the Resort Development Division. In this capacity, Tom worked primarily in Hawaii, Mexico, California, Florida, New York and Nevada reviewing and approving plans for various Resort Development Companies.
Tom has been active in the local, national and international communities. Some of the positions he has held have been:
- Founding Member of the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology at the University of California, San Diego.
- Founder and Funding Source of the Visualization Laboratory at San Diego State University which became the first major experiment with CALIT2.
- Board of Directors of the Multi-Sector Crisis Management Consortium in Washington DC, working with Homeland Security, DARPA and the Pentagon with Post 9/11 readiness.
- Advisory Board with the College of Chemical Sciences with San Diego State University.
- Vice President of the Applicon Users Group (A computer aided design software)
- President of the Institute of Industrial Engineers local Kansas City Chapter
- Chairman of the IIE National Convention in Kansas City Missouri
- Chairman of the Convocational Committee at the University of Missouri
- Chairman of the Clear Thinking Institute of Lakeland, Florida
- President and Vice-President Engineering Student Council, University of Missouri
- Prayer Leader and Volunteer at the House of Hope, Lakeland, Florida (A Homeless Center in North Lakeland)

After his arrival in Central Florida, Tom took a VP role with a Venture Capital group based out of Seminole, Florida and has worked representing the Florida Attorney Generals office with investigating and resolving corporate reputation issues. Tom has also assisted a Real Estate office in Leesburg, Florida in training and multi-media services.
With this background, Tom has a clear understanding Real Estate from the business end and in Title. Tom’s basic skills include, web site design, SEO building, data base design, software development, video production, video special effects, drone videos, 360 degree videos, layout planning and basic facilities design.
In July 2019, Tom obtained his Florida Real Estate license and joined Century 21 – Myers Realty focused solely on Commercial and Industrial properties. Tom currently is an active member of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, the Polk County Commercial Brokers Monthly Symposium, the Lakeland Realtors Association and the Central Florida Development Consortium.
