A long time resident of Polk County, Jack Myers graduated from Auburndale High School and Florida Southern College. He served as Polk County Commissioner for two 4-year terms beginning in 2000 and again in 2004. During his tenure, Myers served as Chairman three times.
He served on the Community Relations Advisory Council Commissioner. Myers has also chaired the Tourist Development Council and served as Legislative Liaison to the Polk County Delegation and Chairman of the Central Florida Development Council.
Myers’ service to the community actually began when, prior to this election as Polk County Commissioner, he served as the Mayor of Auburndale and an Auburndale City Commissioner for two terms. His service to the community continues as a member of the Transportation Planning Organization Board and the Auburndale City Commission.
Myers lives in Auburndale with his wife, Karen, and their two children. In addition, Jack Myers adds insight and leadership to the government arena as it relates to all areas of the real estate industry. With his extensive experience in land development, residential and commercial real estate he has served to expedite projects through governmental compliance and approvals
